Start of pilot project with Norwegian airport owner AVINOR AS

Safe at Sea AB has signed an agreement with Norwegian AVINOR AS to carry out the pilot project “Akutt beredskap i vann” with the aim to develop the rescue capability and capacity that airports are obliged to maintain.

The pilot project will use the RescueRunner system as the primary platform for analysis of emergency readiness and rescue operations on water close to airports. The pilot project includes risk analyses, testing of equipment and testing and analysis of the RescueRunner system in various weather conditions. The pilot project value start immediately and continue until the second quarter of 2020.

AVINOR AS is owned by the Norwegian government and is responsible for 44 airports in Norway. More than 20 airports require water rescue capacity.
